Volvo Is “Charging” Its Way Into the Future

Volvo’s lofty goals are deliberate. Its architecture is inspired by humans, and its goals, however ambitious, are too. First Volvo pledged eradicate harmful accidents in a new Volvo by 2020, and now Volvo is focusing its attention on the environment: By 2025, Volvo aims to sell a total of one million electrified cars.

This new electrified goal falls under Volvo’s new sustainability program. Adopting more eco-conscious business operations and battery-powering its most popular models like the Volvo S90 and Volvo S60, Volvo is figuratively repainting its rich blue colored emblem green.

Christened ‘omtanke’, the Swedish word for ‘caring’, Volvo’s new goal is just another attempt to better the planet for its drivers. A future a zero emissions and accidents looks utopic now, but Volvo is well on its way to achieving it.

These electrifying possibilities will eventually be offered in our new Volvo showroom here at Performance Volvo. In the meantime, we encourage you to peruse our current efficient offerings in Sinking Spring and keep a close eye on our blog for all your Volvo plug-in updates.
